Tips to Keep Skin Radiant without too much work

by Tracey on November 7, 2016

It’s that time of year again when our skin needs extra help to stay bright and radiant. The weather outside might appear dull, dark, and gloomy, but that doesn’t mean our skin should too!

Central heating, the harsh and changeable weather, and incorrect skincare can take its toll on your skin by reducing moisture from your skin, resulting in a visibly dull, lifeless, flaky, red and parched complexion.

With the warmer months behind us, our skincare needs have changed so we need to adapt our skincare to the colder seasons. If you haven’t done so already, we at Virginia Williams would recommend using a hydrating serum daily underneath both your daytime moisturiser, and your night time repair cream.  The ingredients in your serums and moisturisers necessary to keep your skin radiant and hydrated this winter, includes green tea, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and grape seed extract.

5 Tips to radiant skin this Winter

  • Use a hydrating serum twice daily underneath your moisturisers
  • Protect your skin throughout the Winter with daytime moisturiser with UVA/UVB protection
  • Exfoliate twice a week with either a glycolic, or salicylic exfoliant
  • Include vitamin D in your regime this time of year – it will help prevent breakouts and skin appearing sallow
  • Vitamin C is a powerful topical ingredient that will help your complexion appear brighter and more youthful
